Live Concert Zac Schulze Gang Breda Jazz 15 may & Tivoli Utrecht 21 may

I was raised on rock & roll music from the time I was a little kid. I started buying singles and LPs in my early teens, and some of our heroes back then were Rory Gallagher and Alvin Lee of Ten Years After. Blues rock with guts, soul and real feeling.

I had heard about Zac Schulze, but I had never seen him live before. Then, on a dark and cloudy afternoon on May 15th in Breda, I was struck by lightning — by Zac and his band.

With a mix of originals and brilliantly chosen covers, including I’m Going Home by Ten Years After and Voodoo Chile by Jimi Hendrix, they absolutely blew me away. High-energy rock & roll, exquisite guitar playing, brilliant technique, and a rhythm section — bass and drums — solid as a rock.

Zac was all over the place, jumping around the stage, full of fire and energy, but always completely in control of his guitar playing.

A couple of days later, I went to Utrecht to see the band again.

They are that good
